Assessment
We utilize the Teaching Strategies GOLD assessment tool.
The assessment consists of 9 Areas of Development and Learning.
Teachers document student growth and development by creating a portfolio for each student.
Teaching Strategies GOLD allows teachers to assess individual student growth and development.
Teachers use the data to address student need.
Erikson Early Math Collaborative
Lightfoot staff received training from the Erikson Institute. The primary focus was on the Early Math Collaborative’s Big Ideas of Early Math (key math concepts for young children). Our team had the amazing opportunity to have a Photo Chat lesson filmed as part of a global series, Focus on the Lesson. This lesson is in English. The Spanish lesson will be shared once editing is complete. Hats off to the Lightfoot team for your hard work and preparation! Please see the hyperlink for the lesson: Photo Chat about Quantities Puts the Focus on Units
